ZakApp is designed with privacy as a first principle. This website and the associated ZakApp project strive to keep your financial data private, local-first, and under your control.

What we mean by privacy

• Local-first: your unencrypted financial records remain on your device unless you explicitly export or sync them.
• Encryption: sensitive data within the application is intended to be encrypted (AES-256 in backend and client patterns) so that plain financial details are not exposed.

Data collection

We do not collect or transmit unencrypted financial data from this site by default. Any optional server-side features (sign-in, syncing) are implemented in the main `zakapp` repository and will have their own policies. Review the server project's documentation for details about server-side data handling.

Open Source & Alignment

This website aligns with the implementation patterns in the project's `zakapp` repository and its privacy-first design. For implementation details, refer to the project code in your local `zakapp` repository.
